Do you find yourself with just one day in Port Aransas? The first item on your agenda should be to schedule more days, but the rest is taken care of by the itinerary below! Monica from @ccbucketlist on Instagram recently spent a day in Port Aransas and was kind enough to share her idea of the perfect day in Port A.

Start the Day at Barefoot Beans

Sip and swing at Barefoot Beans, where you can get locally-sourced coffee and tea or take it to-go in the drive thru.

From cold brews to fresh fruit smoothies, Barefoot Beans takes sipping your morning motivation in a cafe to the next level. Currently located in Port A Beer Hut, Barefoot Beans will soon open a second location in The Shops at Old Town, so stay tuned!

Head Down to the Beach to Soak in the Sun

Port Aransas is first and foremost a beach town, and even on a day trip it’s worth squeezing in.

Pick up a fun float or boogie board at a shop around town and soak in the sun at one of Port Aransas’ five area beaches. Be sure to pick up a beach parking permit at the Welcome Center or many other spots around town before you head out.

Don’t Forget to Stop at the Gift Shops

You’ll want to stop by Port A’s numerous well-stocked gift shops…and snap a pic!

Not only can you find a gift (from hermit crabs to home goods)  for anybody on your list but many of Port Aransas’ gift shops also have Insta-worthy photo opportunities, like the shark entrance at Destination Beach and Surf or the iconic sailor statues at The Islander.

Grab a Bite at Tortuga’s

The foodie scene in Port Aransas is booming, and Tortuga’s Saltwater Grill is right in the thick of it.

Tortuga’s serves up mouthwatering seafood creations and prime steak dinners, but also has Sunday brunch with such enticing options as Tuga Style French toast and Port A Benny’s. Any meal at Tortuga’s is guaranteed to be one you won’t want to miss!

Wrap it up at Island Wine

After a full day of island experiences, you’ll want a relaxing wind—or wine—down.

Island Wine has a wide selection of wines, beers, and innovative wine-based cocktails for every palate. Their event schedule is also jam-packed, with Wine and Yoga on Wednesdays, Bingo and Live Music on Thursdays, and karaoke every Friday night.

This day-long itinerary only scratches the surface of possibility for what your next vacation could look like. Between sand and sun, the Port Aransas fun has just begun…
